The Kountach represents the standard which all other race clinchers are measured against. Elite racing clincher, with rounded profile, in conjunction with the R2C dual rubber compound has an exceptional low rolling resistance, while offering incredible cornering control in dry and wet conditions. The Kountach features the same Iron Cloak Belt flat protection used in our tubular and R2C rubber compound on a supple 120tpi casing.

TIRE TECHNOLOGY:
R2C (R2C)
Kenda’s road-specific dual compound blends traction and speed. R2C tires contain rubber with two different Shore-A measurements, the center compound is 70sA, for rolling speed, while the shoulders utilize a tacky 60sA compound for increased confidence in corners. Compared to R3C it is lighter but has a slightly higher rolling resistance.

K-ARMOR (KA)
THE ALL NEW LEVEL OF PROTECTION K-Armor is a proprietary casing material technology developed by Kenda for superior puncture protection and rolling resistance. The super light-weight material features a tighter weave than traditional fabric puncture breakers while being lighter overall. Additionally, in production, the manufacturing characteristics are superior to those of existing materials resulting in structurally stronger tires. The K-Armor fabric also contributes to the incredibly low rolling resistance values found on the road tire that it was introduced on, the Valkyrie Pro, as well as other tires using this material.
